Can you believe this is the same dress. Well I promise you that is. I have been obsessed with convertible dresses for the last several years. I currently own at least 6 of them including 2 convertible pantsuits. Not only are they a great piece to have in your closet but they very budget friendly. I have a black convertible maxi that I have worn at least 10 different ways over the past several years. Let’s just say I have gotten away with wearing the same dress to almost every wedding that I have attended over the last 3 years.
I chose to pair this look with gold accessories. The shoes are Christian Louboutin that I purchased for $250 at the Louboutin Sale in NY. (It always pays to know someone that knows someone). The dress it self I purchased online for 29.99. The jewelry is actually all gold jewelry that I’ve had in my jewelry box since high school when gold prices were not as crazy as they are now.
Going green means a lot of different things to each individual. To me it means being less wasteful. I am a big fan of reusing and recycling when it comes to my fashion which is why I am a huge fan of consignment and vintage stores. Not only do I save a ton of money by buying second hand but I like to think I am reducing my carbon footprint one piece of clothing at a time. Today’s look is not second hand at all however the secret to this look is the convertible dress. The dress I am wearing in these pictures is actually similar to this dress below.
Do you have a convertible dress in your wardrobe? How do you like to style it? Would you consider adding one to your closet if you do not have one yet?
